The florist quotes are coming in…

So we are now under the 5 month mark…yikes!  The big day is going to be here before we know it.  I have most of the big vendors booked except for one…the florist.  I have already compiled the long list of the bouquets, boutonnieres, arrangements, etc. that I want and now I am meeting with the florists and the quotes are coming in….double yikes!  It’s amazing that even when you try to keep things simple how fast they add up.  So the florist hunt continues.  I’ll keep you posted on the final decision.  Stay tuned…

Found a DJ!

Music for us is a very important aspect of the wedding.  I feel that it can make a break a good party from a bad one.  We began our DJ search and were shocked to find out how much so of the big name “wedding DJs” actually cost.  The DJs that were in the affordable range just didn’t seem to be able to do what I was looking for. 

 

My fiancé turned to his brother in law for advice since he himself is a DJ.  After several recommendations we have decided to book with DJ Savure, the regular weekend DJ at the Bentz Street Sports Bar downtown.  He is young, fun and energetic and has a widespread knowledge of all types of music.  We are very excited to book a DJ who is more familiar with the bar/club scene.  It should be a great reception!

My Dress is in!!

My dress just came in from TLC bridal boutique last week.  I have been so busy lately I haven’t had a chance to schedule and appointment to go and pick it up.  Well I finally got it!  Last night I picked up my dress and it’s amazing!  It’s so nice to try on a dress that fits me perfectly and know it’s the dress I will be getting married in.

 

While I had the dress on I wanted to get all the undergarments and accessories to go with it.  Terry, the owner, was amazing as usual!  I gave her an idea of what I was looking for and she went around the store and found all the perfect items.  While I don’t want to go into too much detail for fear of my FI reading this, let’s just say I look and feel like a true princess.  I can say this though…bling, lots of bling!  I love it!  It really is the best feeling in the world to be catered to.  Terry should be a wedding fashion designer.  All the items she chose to go along with my dress looked absolutely beautiful and I can’t wait until they come in.
